Ski

After many years of skiing in New Zealand and Europe, and guiding powder tours in Japan, I am now an accredited snow sports instructor and guide at Aspen Snowmass. If you’d like to arrange private ski lessons or a guided tours of our Four Mountains please get in touch and I’ll make it happen. Expect only the best days and experiences …

Colorado “cold smoke” at Aspen Snowmass

Skiing Colorado

Skiing at the four mountains of Aspen Snowmass is some of the best in the world, from the mellow beginner terrain of Buttermilk (perfect for learning to ski and snowboard) to the double-black-diamond extreme runs at the nearby Aspen Highlands and its Bowl. The terrain is vast and complex and it certainly helps to have a local guide to lead you to the best and often secret powder stashes and thus make the most of your time here.

Other options in our Winter Wonderland include Aspen Powder Tours, uphilling and cross-country skiing.

Skiing Japan

When not skiing in Colorado, I have been working with an Australian outfitter in Japan running “powder chase” road trips out of Myoko Kogen on the island of Honshu. Travel to Japan is restricted at the moment but let’s hope we can get back there soon. A recent storm delivered nearly 3 meters (10 feet) of snow in just a couple of days. Here are a few images from our last year’s trip.
